The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) This project takes a look at Sustainable Urban Transportation. The focus will be an exploration of an organization called "The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP)". The purpose of ITDP is to promote environmentally sustainable and socially equitable transportation worldwide. Cities throughout the world, primarily in developing countries, engage ITDP to provide technical advice on improving their transport systems. ITDP uses its know-how to influence policy and raise awareness globally of the role sustainable transport plays in tackling green house gas emissions, poverty and social inequality. ITDP has offices in Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and the United States; employs more than 60 staff members; and supplements this team with leading architects, urban planners, transport experts, developers, and financiers
